Modern braces or suspenders were made popular by a London haberdasher in the early 1820s. Due to the popularity of belts in the years that followed, braces fell out of fashion but are still worn by different groups of people from bankers to lawyers to those into subcultures. Here we stock the half inch versions with metal clips favoured by skinheads and punks, in a variety of colours.
